The one from the launching of the first Plus size magazing in Israel

The launching of the first plus size magazine in Israel - was a pretty cool event to go to. 

Lots of pretty people - hosted at the Dpahna levinson store, and oreo cookies. 

Offering plus size Women a different image to look at rather then just the size 0 we got so accustom to. Especially when you consider that most women are are a size 12 and up. 

On the off side - There's 2 things that do sadden me. The first been that fact that only now -in 2015 these magazines are finally showing up. The other been - the sad fact the plus size women in magazines - are not the plus size in life. So - there's still so much to change in the image that we see. I think that for the most part - that's why I love this day in age - and the sheer fact that you can decide which media to consume - and  which to create. allowing everybody to have a say - and blogs been one of the things that truly define people's opinion in 2015. 

the fact that you don't have to be a rich media mogul in order to put out something like images of bigger women or an opinion on a product that might not get exposure ells where. 

I hope that this is part of the movement that still had ways to go.

The one that does not define me

The one that breaks the rules but just some

Venturing out is often very difficult confusing I can take time and during the time you don't quite know if you're on the right track it takes time to see the results.

But when you want to be successful sometimes that's the price you need to pay patients will patience that's the way to go. Sometimes like everybody else I wonder if this is path for me I don't always know that I'm on the right track but I guess only time will tell I just want to be successful and sometimes sometimes it feels like maybe it's too much but I guess I guess I just have to wait and see maybe tomorrow will bring that bright future metals what hope for.

Doing things differently mean that you will stick out and it means that you have to make it your way and if somebody 

else makes it then you can't really own it its their thing you need to make it your own thing.

Looking up at the sky that's what you can tell the only the sky is really the limit and annoying that sky is really an illusion and its old space an error well that just means that simpler.

I didn't quite realize it while I was taking these pictures but once I got home and saw these photos I knew that the main thing that looks back at you from these photos is really all about the sky the blue blue sky on a bright day.

Breaking the rules is sometimes more difficult than you would think you have to follow rules and structure in your life and order to make it through and get along with the rest of the world sometimes breaking the rules is more than just a metaphor it's a necessity following the stripes following the patterns and and realizing life is not black and white did you have to put some color into it even the best black and white look looks better with a pop of color rather it be red , neon yellow or purple.

2 days and Followed by Shabat - this year it's a nice long weekend in Israel. taking time off work - and for most people it's a family time. it's just the 3 of us this year - while my siblings are spending time at their own in-laws - but it means that it's a quiet time here. not a bad thing in it self. 

I'm completely swamped these days. after this summer's war - my test's were re-scheduled. for the end of this month - together with writing the biggest paper of my law school studies. It's actually something I'm very proud about - but I wish I had more time in order to do a better job. 

Both of my beauty channels are doing ok. trying to keep up with 2 if not 3 videos a week. growing nicely. but my focus is to finish all my school obligations right now. 

This dress is such a favorite of mine. I try to wear it as much as I can justify. even with the same shoes here. it's a midi length so it's a little tricky - but wearing heels definitely help "fix" the problem. 

חינה - ליאור ואלה - The one From the Yamanite Hina

אז נכון, נעלמתי הרבה. אבל אל חשש, יש הרבה בצינורות שתכף יתחיל להציף אתכן עד שימאס לכן. :-) גם הסרטונים יחזרו לקצב קבוע החל מהשבוע.
ולאן נעלמתי?

אז אחת הרשומות שממש חיכתה לה בצד בסבלנות הייתה זו מהחינה. דווקא לבוש החתונה שלי, היה מזעזע ואילו לבוש החינה שאמורה להיחשב "פחותה" מבחינת המעמד - היה מאוד לטעמי.

מצחיק אותי שדווקא כרגע אני מדברת על "חינות" - סמל תרבותי מובהק של עדות המזרח. זה מצחיק, כי אני אשכנזייה אבל הכי לא אשכנזייה מבחינת האופי ואפילו רוב התרבות שלי. משתכנזים? נו טוב, אני מתמזרחת.
גדלתי באשקלון, אומנם להורים ממוצא אשכנזי, אבל בלי אף חברה אשכנזייה לאורך השנים. כל החברות שלי תימניות, טריפוטאליות, תוניסאיות ומרוקאיות. אני בעצמי נמשכת לשילוב הקטלני של חצי תימני וחצי מרוקאי כשמדובר בגברברים שלי, ואני הכי מתחברת לתרבות המזרחית. למעט הקינוחים שלהם למעשה, אני מעדיפה אוכל מזרחי (וקינוחים אמריקאיים.....)
מעולם לא הרגשתי מיוחסת או "שווה יותר" בגלל העדה שלי, ועד גיל 15 לא הייתי מודעת אפילו לזה שקיימת אפלייה מזרחית. פשוט לא הייתי חלק ממנה. התרבות האשכנזית שלי הייתה נסקלת ומושפלת עד עפר, לעומת האשקלונים המרוקאיים. אז נכון, גיל 15 הוא אחלה גיל לגלות קצת מעבר לעצמנו. ועם השנים נחשפתי יותר ויותר לזה. קראתי ספרות ואני קצת יותר מודעת. אני באופן אישי לא מאמינה שלא קיים פה משהו שלא שווה לדבר עליו. וכמו שאמנון לוי קורא לזה - קיימים פה "פערים תרבותיים" מובהקים. אי אפשר להתכחש לזה שיש רק שופט "מזרחי" אחד. ואי אפשר להתעלם מהנתונים. יכול להיות שזה משתנה לאט לאט, ויכול להיות שלא. אבל גם אם זה משתנה, זה לאט מדי.

כשזה מגיע לחינות, אני זוכרת שישבתי ועשיתי ממש מחקר עצמי. מה זה, מאיפה זה מגיע. מה ההבדלים בין תימנית למרוקאית ועוד.
אין ספק שחינות תימניות ישראליות נוטות להיות קרובות יותר למקור ההוא שחגגו בתימן לפני עשרות שנים. בדגש על התלבושות, למרות שבמקרה הזה, החברה שלי, שהתחתנה, עשתה בחירה לא זולה בכלל, אבל בהחלט נהדרת - היא חיפשה קייטרינג חיצוני בשביל לעשות אוכל תימני אמיתי. חוץ מהנודלס עם עוף כמובן. :-)

אני בהחלט אשכנזייה מוזרה, אני ממש אוהבת חוויות כאלה. ולא בקטע של זה מזרחי, זה אחר, זה שונה זה אוריינטלי. אלא בקטע של ללמוד תרבות שונה, וללמוד ממנה. להנות ממנה, להעשיר את החיים בזכותה. אנחנו לא חייבים לדבוק רק בתרבות אחת. וזו בדיוק הטעות. ובכלל, יש הרבה שקשור לתרבות הישראלית ולמיזוג הזה מאשר למקור. (נכון שחינות תימניות כאמור הן די קרובות למקור).
