The one with the hunger for life and beauty
For years now I've suffered from various addictions. One of them is most definitely for food. Going through various phases of eating disorders was a part of it.
My love for other things as also gone through this and it took me years to figure out that what I am - is hungry for life.
The love, the passion, the color and beauty. It all comes down to this.
Realizing that been hungry is just as part of me - was a very hard realization. Society teaches women in the 21st century - not only to take as little space as possible, but also - that are desires are wrong. That any women with a passion for food or sex or life itself - is wrong and sick. But it's only these women who really live.
You don't have to go off the far and or to some extreme. And it's such a shame.
I'm now 30. And Only now do I see how much I've missed out - trying to live life like the books and what still amazes me - is that many more women still do.
We need to write our own book and life by our truth - not others.
במשך כל כך הרבה שנים, סבלתי מכל כך הרבה התמכרויות.
אחת מהם הייתה בהחלט התמכרות לאוכל. ההתמודדות עם הפרעות אכילה מגוונות במשך השנים, הייתה רק סימפטום חלקי של זה.
האהבה שלי לדברים אחרים הייתה גם חלק, ולקח לי שנים להבין שאני פשוט רעבה לחיים.
האהבה, התשוקה, הצבע והיופי. הכל מגיע לזה בסופו של דבר.
ההבנה שאני בסך הכל רעבה, וזה בסך הכל חלק ממני - הייתה מסקנה לא פשוטה להכיל. החברה מלמדת נשים במאה ה-21 - שלא רק שעלינו לתפוס כמה שיותר מקום פיזי, אלא שגם לתחושות ול"רעב" שלנו יש מקום קטן ככל האפשר, בין אם זה לאוכל, או לסקס או פשוט לחיים - מי שמעזה להיות "רעבה" היא פשוט חולה. אבל בפועל? אלו הנשים הרעבות שבאמת חיות. מגשימות ועושות. כי בלי רעב לחיים, לעשייה, להגשמה - אין משהו שידחוף קדימה.
לא צריך לחיות בקיצוניות בשום דבר, וגם לא בדברים הללו.
לקח לי 30 שנה להבין כמה פספסתי כשאני מנסה להפחית את הרעב לחיים. ומה שהכי מדהים אותי, עד היום, היא העובדה שיש כל כך הרבה נשים אחרות שעדיין עושות את זה, שעדיין מנסות לחיות לפי הספר שמישהו אחר הכתיב.
במקום להבין שכל אחת מאיתנו צריכה לחיות את הספר של עצמה, ולחיות לפי האמת שלה, ושלה בלבד.

Shopping list - The pin up dress
This is far from being my first post on the topic but since I'm really into the beauty and the colors of the Rockabilly and pin up style - this should not come as a surprise to anybody.
After asking around I decided it's time for a post on how to buy your pin up dress.
Of course - If you live somewhere in the states or lucky enough to have a spicily store near by - then you have more then the options in this post - but for most if us - e-bay is really the place to get started.
When looking online for the pinup dress - keep in mind that the search terms relevant would be (of course) "Pin-up", and Rockabilly and that most dresses come in 2 shapes - the A-line skirt and the pencil skirt. The top, however, Can very a lot - from no sleeve and halter to full length sleeves.
Most of the dresses come in a firm cotton materiel and for most of the a-line shaped ones you could add a under skirt to add some volume. Presently - I have several dresses and no under-skirt. They look just a good and still very "rich" looking.
The other thing to keep in mind is this: All though e-bay is the place to get started keep in mind that their are more on-line stores with these dresses. So, If I see that the dress I want is not available in my size a just Google search the name of the dress and find some stores like that.
The major e-bay store for pin up has to be: SIRENS AND STARLETS
It holds many different brands and the priced tend to be reasonable - and sometimes even pretty good.

Should I buy non brand pin-up dresses?
I have to be honest, This is one thing that I think you should try to aim for the brand names. They are guilty dress, nicely done and very well sawn. For the small savings - go for the brand. Especially if you are bigger then a small. The brand names are making more and more of their dresses in a large plus size, So some of them will be even in a uk28.

The one from the Road untaken
These days I'm finishing my LLB - my Law degree. In order to become a "Real" lawyer I would still have to complete one year of doing a internship and of course - take the bar exams.
For some reason - I'm finding it very difficult. Like before - when I finished my BA in communication and journalism - for some reason I start you doubt my self. Of course, This time around is different; Finding out that I have Fibromaylgia and CFS is a life changing event - and at the time - I decided not to stop my studies. My goal at that time was to finish what I started. Which is kind of weird for me to say - thinking back on my life. I guess I always thought of myself as some what of a quitter.
My goal was just to finish the degree and now, Here I am. I'm finishing and now I have to think about what's next.
I can't do another "career change", and even if I enjoy styling I just have to commit to something already. Why is this so difficult?

The one from the makeup artist convention (Malu-Wilz)
ביום שני השבוע הוזמנתי לקחת חלק בכנס המאפרות של מלו-וויז. מותג איפור מקצועי חדש יחסית שנחשפתי אליו ממש לא מזמן, ואת הדעות הראשוניות שלי אפשר לראות בינתיים רק בסרטון הזה, אבל צפוי עוד סרטון על עוד מוצרים.
בינתיים יצא לי להתנסות בחמישה מוצרים, ואני תוהה מה עוד שווה בדיקה.
המותג מלו-וויז. הוא מותג גרמני ידוע, ואחד מהדברים היותר מעניינים הוא כל עניין הקמפולז' שלהם. מדובר בכיסוי למעשה שנותן כיסוי מלא ואטום, אפילו ממצב של קעקועים. לא בטוחה שזה מתאים לכולם, אבל למי שזה כן - זה מאוד יעניין אותה.
בעניין האופנתי: המגפיים האלה, שאני לא מורגלת אליהם והם "קשים" יחסית מבחינת המבנה שלהם, קצת מכאיבים, אבל אני לא מוותרת בקלות. ואני יודעת שאני צריכה רק להתרגל. בהתחלה זה היה נורא, בהמשך כבר פחות. טריק אגב הוא ללכת דווקא מאוד בטוח בנעליים ולא מוזר, וללבוש גרבים קצת עבות. בניגוד אל נעלי עקב רגילות או סנדלים על עקב - במגפיים יש את יתרון הגרביים.
I was invited to a makeup artist convention this past Monday - hosted by the German Brand: Malu Wilz.
I Just start Learning about this new to Israel - professional makeup brand - and so far I've experienced about 5 products. and honestly? I can't wait to try more.
One of their key Products are part of the camouflage Line - created for the process of a very full coverage - good enough to cover Tattoos. not sure if this is a must - but for those how would need a very high coverage in order to hide something - this is diffidently an interesting line.
In the fashion side: these boots. THEY HURT. well, at least not as bad as in the beginning. i'm still breaking them in. it's a good thing to wear some heavy socks to cushion your walk - just in case.
